USE CASE: PORT OF HELSINKI
Last year, The Port of Helsinki adopted the solutions of Supersight, offered by Elisa, utilising the AI technology for traffic monitoring. The technology uses AI and the 5G network for image recognition, gathering accurate data about traffic flow without storing video images. It was first tested in Vuosaari harbour and Länsisatama, tracking heavy and escort traffic volumes. After a successful trial, the service is now permanently used at various Helsinki Port’s passenger ports. The solution uses smartphones and the mobile network for flexibility and cost-effectiveness. Importantly, the technology adheres to strict safety and privacy regulations, storing only numerical data, reducing the need for human monitoring, and following Elisa’s AI ethical principles.
