  • EWorkforce of the Future - Strategies of Utilising AI

Presenter: Teemu Roos, Professor of Computer Science, University of Helsinki. Mr. Roos leads the AI Education programme at the Finnish Center for AI and is an expert and educator in AI, machine learning, and data science. His free of charge, online course for non-experts, Elements of Artificial Intelligence, has been rated as the world’s best computer science MOOC on Class Central. 

We will review the latest research on AI and discuss its opportunities and limitations. The goal is to facilitate the creation of strategies for utilising AI based on current scientific understanding of the technology.

  • EImproving Yield and Quality Through AI/ML Driven Automated Root-cause Analysis in Smart Manufacturing

Presenter: Kalle YläJarkko, Ph. D. Senior Data Scientist, Elisa IndustrIQ. Mr. Ylä-Jarkko is an inventor and co-author of 6 patents and over 30 papers in the field of laser technology, laser machining and machine-learning and AI applications.

In his presentation, Mr. Ylä-Jarkko describes the process of identifying and developing viable AI/ML use cases, delivering tangible benefits to end-users in semiconductor and EV battery manufacturing. AI/ML solutions enable early detection of process deviations, optimising resource usage, reducing downtime, and enhancing product quality, while leading to increased profitability and customer satisfaction.

  • EOptimal Production Scheduling in Energy Intensive processes

Presenter: Antti Liski, Ph. D. Lead Data Scientist, Elisa IndustrIQ. Mr. Liski has 20 years of experience in machine learning in health care, economics and industrial applications and he is heading the AI/ML development team at Elisa IndustrIQ. Mr. Liski will present customer use cases demonstrating the value of AI in production.
